Sausalito Charmer
This beautiful Sausalito charmer sits on a secluded hillside with commanding views, amazing weather, and completely private access. The existing house, built in 1910, had several additions over the years, resulting in a disjointed plan that did not take advantage of the incredible setting. The design intention was to create a warm, peaceful, inviting home that maximized the allowable floor area, improved flow, and joined the rooms to each other and to the outdoors. The owners and I designed an open plan with maximum ceiling heights to provide spacious, airy rooms, linked to the outside at every opportunity. Light and views fill the rooms and blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors.
